My teaching philosophy -

​CREO ERGO SUM - I create therefore I am

Everyone has the ability to create in one form or another - sometimes many forms.
Expressing ourselves creatively is a positive, powerful and profound process.
It is essential for our health and well being that we have positive outlets for our creative expression.

The conscious process of creating -
  • brings greater depth of meaning to our lives,
  • grows our imagination,
  • allows us to see more possibilities,
  • helps us to solve problems,
  • reveals parts of ourselves otherwise hidden,
  • creates discipline,
  • is a form of meditation, relaxation and revelation.

​When I teach I endeavor to -  
  • encourage the creative growth of individuals,
  • provide an inspiring, stimulating and comfortable environment in which to learn,
  • impart a passion for creating,
  • assist people to find their own unique expression through the creative process,
  • teach skills and techniques - both contemporary and traditional - in a wide range of media,
  • develop your abilities to experiment and explore all manner of media and subject matter,
  • support people to achieve a standard of excellence and integrity in their work.
